About CAPS
A collaborative initiative advancing police supervision through evidence-based practices
Our Mission
The National Consortium to Advance Police Supervision (CAPS) addresses challenges in policing by creating a consortium of police supervisors and experts to develop tools, resources, and training to improve supervisory practices.
CAPS brings together first-line supervisors from 66 inaugural police agencies across 31 states with academic and policing experts to advance the science and practice of police supervision. We are committed to developing data-driven solutions that help police supervisors lead more effectively and ethically.
